Psychological counseling is a professional conversation. It is different to chatting as counseling offers a client constructive help.
Counseling schedule
In general, counseling takes place once a week, las lasting between 50 minutes and one hour. The frequency of counseling depends on personal situation.
Except where legally required, counselling will remain a confidential matter.
Group Counseling
Small groups of classmates (about 8-12 people), meet up at a specific time to discuss and share particular topics. This could be once a week, for 2 to 3 hours, lasting around 6 to 8 weeks, or it might be two days on weekend as a workshop., They aid each other’s learning and personal growth.
Class Guidance
In accordance with each class’s need, various kinds of development and adaptability topics and guidance activities can be planned. These offer students and teacher the ability to choose the contents of each activities and these could be adjusted during the session. These activities last about one hour, and the place will be decided by each class.
Psychological Tests and Explanation
By using these tests, you are offered a chance to know yourself., If you have an interest in doing the test, please visit the counseling center and sign up for an appointment. The counseling psychologist will discuss which test might help you depending on your personal situation, and then you can decide whether to have the test.
Extension Activity of Mental Health
Through speech, discussion or appropriate movies allow students to explore growth issues which they care about.
Parent Consultation
Offer a parent appropriate consultation service, to help them understand the operation of campus and improve parental education, to create a student, parent and teacher three way connection.
Special Psychological Service Clinic
In cooperation with Cihui Hospital, Psychiatrist Dr. Chung is available, every week for resident consultation on campus. Appointments are the same as personal counseling.
Disability Student Resource Classroom
Offer students with disabilities personal and professional counseling.
Borrowing Audio- Visual Materials
Offer books and magazines to students and teachers to borrow, and offer life education and gender education. These are licensed under a commercial copyright for public usage, for teachers to use in class.
Student Grievance
Students have the right to form independent educational organisations. Any behaviour or punishment which is inappropriate or could harm the rights of students must follow the official administration procedure. If any issue still cannot be resolved, it must be taken to the student appeal and review committee.
